Hey Prayer Warriors,

Tomorrow we celebrate Memorial Day! Let us remember the sacrifices of those that came before us and pray for those who are protecting us now.

Praises:

Principal at W.T. Cooke Elementary approved a 5-Day Club at the school.

Great Bridge Christian Academy’s summer camp program will host a 5-Day Club for the summer.

Pam Mannix’s many years of faithfulness as a CEF volunteer who has served on the Tidewater committee and in the GNC and 5-Day Clubs.

The elders at Franklin Baptist Church are “thrilled” to host a 5-Day Club.

Prayers:

Approval of the facility request by the school division for a 5-Day Club at W.T. Cooke Elementary School.

Wordless Book Workshop on Saturday, May 25 at Jackson Memorial Baptist for the Portsmouth Baptist Association.

Ida, GNC volunteer, who is in treatment for cancer.

Anne, GNC volunteer, who had knee surgery.

“And those twelve stones, which they took out of the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal. And he said to the people of Israel,” When your children ask their fathers in times to come, What do these stones mean?” then you shall let your children know, Israel passed over this Jordan on dry ground.” (Joshua 4:20-22)

The Jews set up a memorialto remember God’s blessing and protection. Here in the United States we have a number of memorials throughout the country to remind us of the sacrifices of many generations. May we never remove these memorials and our history to remind and guide future generations of what they have been given through the sacrifice of their ancestors.

Yours in Christ,

Carl
