Hey Prayer Warriors,
From our Director, Tracy:
Praise and Prayer:
There were three 5-Day Clubs for the week of July 18-22 with over 40 children in attendance. Many children had questions about Jesus and some children decided to put their faith in Jesus Christ. As we look ahead, we need prayers for the upcoming week. There will be four 5-Day Clubs for the week of July 25-29. Three of the clubs will be outside, so we need prayer for cool temperatures. Another group of teens will only have three teens, so prayers that all will be filled with the Holy Spirit, unified, prepared, and excited for their last week of the summer missions.
Please be praying for Gina who is trying to start a Good News Club at Occohannock Elementary on the Eastern Shore. She is speaking with the superintendent next week to have the school rental fee ($250 fee for each GNC event) waived. Please join her in praying for a waiver to this fee.
Five Day Clubs in July (Eight scheduled clubs in July). Four more Clubs added for next week.
Prayers for safe travel to and from the 5-Day clubs, a great learning experience for the teens and that the children will be receptive to the Gospel.
Our summer missionaries are: Peter, Caleb, Grace, Emily, Noa, James M., Timothy, Anna, Christopher, Abe, Mackenzie and James L..

From USA Ministries/Our new President (Jerimiah Cho):
Jeremiah has served full time with CEF for the past 34 years in several roles including Local Director and National Director for CEF of South Korea where he directed a staff of over 200 workers reaching 325,000 children. He was a missionary to Sri Lanka and opened the country to CEF ministry. From 2014 to the present, he has served as Regional Director in a sensitive region with 28 countries. God used Jeremiah to grow that ministry from 137 to 387 workers and increase the number of children reached from 700,000 to 7.5 million annually, pre-COVID.
Please join us online for President Cho’s Commissioning Service on Thursday, July 28 at 8:00 AM Central Time. It will be live streamed from CEF International Headquarters at cefonline.com/live

An excerpt from “In God We Still Trust” by Dr. Richard G Lee:
In the summer of 1787, tempers flared among the delegates of the thirteen colonies meeting to draft the constitution. With the convention in danger of breaking down, an eighty year old statesman spoke words of profound wisdom. Not especially religious, Benjamin Franklin nonetheless appealed to Psalm 127:1 and counseled delegates to seek the aid of Almighty God:
The longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, it is probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured, sir, in the Sacred Writings, that “except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it.” I firmly believe this; and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel: We shall be divided … our projects will be confounded. And what is worse, mankind may hereafter….despair of establishing Governments by human Wisdom and leave it to chance, war, and conquest. I therefore… move that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven … be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business.
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” (Psalm 127:1)
As Prayer warriors we completely understand what Benjamin Franklin understood from God’s Word.
Yours in Christ,
Carl
