“Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and He said to His disciples, sit here while I go over there to pray. And taking with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, He began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then He said to them ,My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here and watch for me. And going a little farther He fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will. ”(Matthew 26:36-39) ESV
“When thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret.”(Matthew 6:6) KJV
“In the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed to a solitary place, and there prayed.”(Mark 1: 35) KJV
Jesus has given us a perfect example of going to a private place to seek the Father. Where is your daily Gethsemane?
Yours in Christ
