The following prayer request were sent by Susan Chapman on behalf of Luxford ASGNC.
Susan relays the following information with praises and prayer requests as follows:
I called the parents from our Luxford Good News Club last week and was able to speak with a number of them.
It was so good to talk with the parents and some of the clubbers.
I left messages for the parents that did not answer and hope to talk with them next week to see how they are doing.
Please see the following prayer requests for this past week. Take care and stay safe!
Blessings,Susan Chapman
1 – Nancy Johnson, volunteer – fell and broke her hip this past week and had surgery to correct the problems
2 – Coe family – mom is pregnant and experiencing morning sickness; keep the dad safe while he works; help keep the 3 boys focused so they can get their school work done; give the mom creative ways to teach them
3 – Dohnivan – feeling frustrated and missing his school friends; help him adjust to homeschooling; give the mom clarity as she teaches him
4 – Newlin family – keep the dad safe as he works at the hospital in administration and give him wisdom and peace of mind in the busyness of daily things; wisdom for the mom as she homeschools the three children; Madison – prayers for her mental and spiritual well-being as she is adjusting being away from school and her friends
5 – Sanders family – pray for the mom as she is homeschooling five children; Andromida – prayers for their 6 year old who has recurring kidney infections and they’re trying to get her in to CHKD to resolve the issue
*The prayer requests in general from the families I spoke with was for parents to have peace of mind and wisdom as they teach their children.
Some are frustrated as some of their children have lots of school work and some do not have much at all. They’re trying to balance everything with the majority having different grade levels to work with, frustration with technology at times, helping their children adjust to the “new normal” as all the children are missing their friends and being in school in general; and some are experiencing financial hardships.
*Thank you for your continued prayers for CEF in general and their finances so the gospel can continue to be spread through the Good News Clubs with the use of technology, Rita, Tracy, District Team Leaders, Team Leaders, volunteers, and the families of the clubbers.
*Pray God gives Team Leaders and volunteers wisdom and creative ideas in reaching the clubbers and their families during this time.
*Also, pray for the administrators and teachers in the schools. Give the teachers wisdom in balancing teaching using technology to their students, as well as teaching their own children at home.
Pray that the church would begin to shake herself from her sleep and awake to righteousness and holiness in every denomination, in every body of believers, and slumber no more.
I pray that we would begin to unify and boldly preach the gospel of the kingdom in every highway and byway of our nation.
I pray that we will not only stand up and speak up but that we will begin to reap a great harvest in our nation, bringing multitudes to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
May the revival of the saints be so all-encompassing that it affects the spiritual complexion of our entire nation and influences our politics, our economy, our media, and our entire society.
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
